  • "Jacko" Homage

    "Jacko" Homage

    The original Jacko was made by the McElroy brothers for W.S. Berger sometime around 1940. He now resides in the VentHaven museum and is regarded by many to be the most famous ventriloquist figure in the entire world. Albert has always admired the McElroy brothers a great deal and naturally loves their Jacko. In 2009, Albert decided to to make a Jacko reproduction for his private collection. He studied hundreds of photos and countless hours of video footage to ensure that every detail of his sculpture, all the way down to the slightest imperfection, was nearly identical. He then teamed up with Brant Gilmer who has a great deal of experience with McElroy reproductions, and the marvelous piece of art before you was the end result. Albert's homage to Jacko was premiered at the 2011 VentHaven Convention with great reviews from ventriloquists and collectors from all over the world.

    Jimmy Nelson Award

    Albert has admired Jimmy Nelson since he was a little boy. Jimmy is an amazing entertainer who helped inspire Albert to pursue ventriloquism. When Albert heard that the the 2011 VentHaven convention would be honoring Jimmy Nelson's "70 Years of Laughter" he immediately started thinking of something special that he could do to thank Jimmy for his endless contribution to the art of ventriloquism. Albert employed his portrait sculpture talents and sculpted a wonderful bust of Jimmy then had the honor of presenting it to Mr. Nelson personally on stage at the VentHaven Convention.

    This is a custom ordered portrait figure made for Scott Capri. Albert worked very hard to achieve the exact look that Scott wanted. Scott is very happy with his custom Alfaro figure and actively uses it in comedy clubs throughout New York City.
